Letters and experiences from Joshua Newbold as he serves his 2 year Mission in Missouri, St. Louis, for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Losing track of the weeks
Today is like actually legit the busiest day ever. I didn't realize us and the assistants cut our pday 2 hours short to get to the airport. (Elder Newbold gets to go to the airport tonight to pick up the new incoming missionaries with the President and the Assitants to the President.) This is such a blessed opportunity. I am so grateful for this Gospel and opportunity I have to be a servant of the Lord. To dedicate 2 years of my life to serving my Savior Jesus Christ with all of my heart, might and strength.
"Therefore if ye have desires to serve God, ye are called to the work." In all things we do, ensure that our hearts desire is of the Lord's will. As the Lord cried in the Garden of Gethsemane, "nevertheless, not my will...thine be done." We need to submit ourselves to the Lord. If we have the desire, the Lord will provide the blessings we need to fulfill our callings.
Read Genesis 22. I invite you to look for the continual surrender and the continual rescue of Abraham and Isaac. I love you so much. I am so grateful for you.
