Oh my goodness everybody....HOW ARE YOU?!?!?!
Talk about getting lost in the work, I don't
even know what day it is anymore aha. Preparation days are blending together
& today is flying by!
I love you all so very much. You are all on my
email list for a reason. I know each of you and pray that you can find
happiness and joy through reading my emails and as you go through each and
every day. What's better than happiness???!!! Like… nothing!!!
SO BE HAPPY!!
Attitude is a choice we get to make each
morning, make it a good one
This week was huge for me with the topic of
"Live What You Learn" in mind.
What does it mean to live what you learn??
For me, being a missionary for The Lord has
been the greatest opportunity. It has truly showed me the importance of living
and leading by example.
We are all children of God. Yes you. And you.
And also you. We are all called to bring others unto Christ. We are all
told to minister. We are all told to love one another. What better way to love
those around you than to share with them what brings joy to your life?
For some people it is hard. I'm not saying it
is easy. But I have been blessed to recognize the true joy that comes from
living the gospel. It excites me. It is not annoying to live. I don't see the
principles taught in the gospel as rules, but as guidelines.
As a missionary we are told to preach the
Lord's gospel. Not to teach it. Not to share it. To PREACH it.
To me PREACHING means to show with a strong
spirit, to give direction.
Well the only way to truly PREACH is to have
the Holy Ghost with you. To share with the Spirit. The only way to have that
spirit with you when you PREACH is to live worthily to have that spirit with
you.
As I have recognized the effect of truly
PREACHING with the Spirit, I have come to realize that I want that with me
constantly. I have come to realize that I need to be TRULY "Living what I
am Learning."
So take that phrase of living what you learn
and you can apply it to everything and anything! Of course the gospel is the
greatest aha but you can truly apply that principle to everything you do.
Recognize what brings you joy in your life.
Recognize your influence on others. Recognize your ability to lead by example.
Then take what you have learned & see how you can apply those things you've
learned in the way you live.
Sorry if this was vague, I just started typing
and was going with whatever was rolling off my mind
I'll leave you with my testimony that I know
that the gospel of Jesus Christ is a gift. The opportunity to love the gospel
is truly a gift. I know that true joy and true happiness can and will be found
as we read the Book of Mormon with a true desire and with real intent. I know
that Jesus Christ is our Savior and Redeemer and only through Him and His
atonement can we be forgiven and be placed on the path to return to the
presence of Our Loving and Living Father in Heaven and Jesus Christ.
I love you all. Have a fabulous week!!!
Forgive everyone!!! Be ready and willing to be
forgiven! Love everyone!
